This week I was interviewed by David Webb for the 2020 SEP-FEP (Society of European Philosophy and Forum for European Philosophy) Conference coming up in November. The interview focused on the work of French philosopher Michel Serres (1930-2019), ranging over Serres’s style, politics, ecology, language, and my book Michel Serres: Figures of Thought (Edinburgh University Press, 2020).

The SEP-FEP conference is the largest annual event of its kind in Europe, aiming to bring together researchers, teachers and students from different disciplines, interested in all areas of contemporary European philosophy. This year, to mark the passing of Michel Serres last June, the conference features a strand of presentations devoted to his work.

You can read more about my work on Serres here, and my more systematic introduction to his thought in a seminar delivered at Stanford in February 2020 is available here.
